Would you like your company to contribute to international climate protection goals?
For the global climate, it is irrelevant where emissions are reduced. Carbon offsets offer the opportunity to support international climate finance in addition to your own reduction measures. To save you from having to navigate the confusing maze of certificates, we at Arqum have identified a sensible and financially attractive offset project for voluntary emissions trading for our clients.
In 2021, our colleague in India, Achim Rodewald, contacted the representatives of the wind power project run by the organization Orange Uravakonda Wind Power Private Limited (OUWPPL). They operate and maintain wind turbines in Beluguppa, Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh in southern India. The information we gathered about the project pertains to 48 turbines that generate approximately 200 GWh of electricity annually from the renewable energy source of wind.
Why should your company purchase certificates from this project?
- The certificates for the wind turbines in Beluguppa Mandal meet the demanding criteria of the Gold Standard, thus guaranteeing the ecological and social sustainability of the project.
- The project has been certified by TÜV Nord.
- The project will allow some of the carbon-intensive electricity currently prevalent in India to be replaced.
- The wind farm enables annual savings of 215.000 tons of CO₂.2emissions
- The project creates jobs and thus promotes the local economy.
- We offer the certificates at a very fair price.
