The kick-off events for the energy efficiency and climate protection networks in Ho Chi Minh City and Thai Nguyen Province took place on October 17 and 19, 2023. The project, initiated by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK ), builds on the success of the Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Networks initiative in Germany and adapts the concept to the local conditions.
The clubs aim to raise awareness of energy efficiency and climate protection, promote the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and identify and implement effective energy efficiency measures. Through these measures, participating companies will increase their energy efficiency while simultaneously reducing their CO2 emissions – and their costs.
Arqum moderates and manages the energy efficiency and climate protection network.
We are pleased to be able to facilitate the clubs' participation and provide energy efficiency consulting services in collaboration with local consulting firms. Within the network, we advise participating companies through individual on-site visits and joint workshops. Furthermore, connecting the companies with the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Association for Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency in Vietnam (VECEA) fosters a comprehensive exchange of expertise.
Fifteen companies are participating in the energy efficiency and climate protection network in Ho Chi Minh City, while eight companies are represented in the club in Thai Nguyen province. All participants are highly motivated and ready to get started: Lively discussions took place at both kick-off meetings, and in addition to organizational matters, the topics for future meetings were already determined.
We are looking forward to the upcoming tasks and events in this exciting network!
