Corporate sustainability management based on EMAS – that was previously EMASplus and is now We Impact.
How did this come about? Over the past three years, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment funded an R&D project to further develop EMASplus, which was led by KATE eV. Arqum supported the work as a project partner. The core task of the Arqum team was to test the proposal for an enhanced sustainability management system developed by KATE with pilot companies.
The system is now available on the market: We Impact! It can be used by organizations of all kinds. The system integrates the requirements of legal frameworks such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) and can be implemented at two levels. It requires certification at both levels – at level 1 by an auditor and at level 2 by an environmental verifier.
